I had a bright idea! An inspiration day. A day of nostalgia, browsing though all the gloriously colourful flowers at our local garden centre. On the 1st of April 2016 we moved my little business to a creative hub called Banks Mill Studios, in the heart of Derby.

How our ‘Wild haired impossible girl’ became our logo! Looking back, this little photo shoot was a very hectic afternoon. Whilst Elsie was ‘posing’ for photographs her big brother was prancing around in the background with an umbrella of his own, teasing his little sister. But, we got there in the end and Elsie is proud of her logo – which she insisted must be pink! Naturally we obliged.

Imagine this scene – a new and shy mother with her new-born child enters a coffee house, a sign ‘Breastfeeding welcomed here’ hangs on a wall. Perfect! Her friend goes to the counter to order cool drinks; just the tonic needed for this hot day, while she sits down and begins to adjust her clothing to nurse her baby. Across the room an angry couple stare at her disapprovingly, knowing that an ‘offending’ part of her anatomy is about to make an appearance! – That was me in 2008.
